  Field and laboratory practice has generally included the following:

  • Attach the sensors
  • Question that directly pertain to the matter under investigation
  • Clear and precise
  • Usually answered "No"
  • Action verb - descriptive behavior
    • Shoot, stab, strike, etc.
  • "Secondary" Multi facet questions
    • Knowledge, Assist, participate, etc.
  • Attempt to avoid intent, legal or emotional evoking words

• Relevant Questions: Screening

  • Questions RELEVANT to the purpose of the test
  • Questions with predictive value
  • All involved need to be on the same page with the definition
    • Examiners
    • Examinee
    • Consumer / Requester
      • Background investigators
      • Therapists, probation / parole
      • Etc
